Dancer, teacher and organizer, activist, researcher, writer and performer in dance and gender and the relational body through touch, Aramo deepens in partnered improvisation as a way of knowledge leading to political transformation

Focusing in the powerful energies emerging from this knowledge, in the last 10 years, Aramo has developed practice-led research in queer tango, queer contact improvisation, and numerous workshops, expanding embodiment, de-subjectivation, and ungendering in the framework of the philosophy of dance.

With a solid training in contact improvisation and tango, and other dance techniques, Olaya Aramo holds a PhD in Sociology and a Bachelor in Philosophy and has presented, taught and performed in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Bilbao, Valencia, Wuppertal, Hamburg, Paris, London and Berlin.
