Dancer, teacher and organizer, activist, researcher, writer and performer in dance and gender and the relational body through touch, Aramo deepens in partnered improvisation as a way of knowledge leading to political transformation

Focusing in the powerful energies emerging from this knowledge, in the last 10 years, Aramo has developed queer tango, queer contact improvisation, and numerous workshops which make use of these techniques to expand understanding and practice of embodiment, de-subjectivation, and ungendering, in the framework of the philosophy of dance.

With a solid training in contact improvisation and tango, and other dance techniques, Olaya Aramo holds a PhD in Sociology and a Batchelor in Philosophy and has presented, taught and performed in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Bilbao, Valencia, Wuppertal, Hamburg, Paris, London and Berlin.
